Why Design Recycled Plastic Bricks?
Plastic pollution is one of the greatest environmental crises facing the world today. Every year, millions of tonnes of plastic waste are discarded into landfills, rivers, and oceans. It is estimated that a truckload of plastic enters the ocean every minute, threatening marine ecosystems, wildlife, and human health.
At the same time, the construction industry is responsible for nearly 38% of global carbon emissions. Traditional building materials such as concrete, fired clay bricks, and cement consume enormous amounts of natural resources while producing significant greenhouse gas emissions.
Meanwhile, the global housing crisis continues to grow. More than 1.6 billion people worldwide lack adequate housing, while millions more are displaced every year due to earthquakes, floods, hurricanes, conflicts, and climate change.
These challenges inspired the creation of ECO BLOCKS. Instead of allowing plastic waste to pollute the environment, we transform it into durable building materials capable of supporting affordable, sustainable, and climate-resilient housing.
